Cougars Take Preseason Honours.
The Division 2 men have taken the trophy in the Big V Preseason Tournament held at MSAC over the weekend.
They accounted for the Craigieburn Eagles in the Grand Final on Monday 58-49. They had played Craigieburn earlier in the tournament and went down by the same margin.
They had three games leading into the grand final, the results are listed below.
It is a good start to the year but playing coach Marcus Timmons said “Let’s not to get too carried away, there is still plenty to work on”.

The Women’s team made their debut in Division 2. Whilst the Win/loss column is not the way coach Campbell Fraser would like it, he was not all that disappointed in the team’s performance. “It’s given us a real taste for what we are up against this year and the work that we need to do!”
They had a number of games that they were never out off until the final siren and had a number of their opponents fighting until the end.

Well done to all the teams, they represented the Cougars with style and in the great spirit of sportsmanship.
We look forward to our first home games of the season on 28th March.
