AUSSIE HOOPS is Basketball Australia and Victoria’s National Development Program for kids aged 5-8. This program is aimed as an entry-level into basketball participation, it’s an opportunity to learn and develop new skills with 10 different sessions available over 7 days and 2 venue options!

Brighton Ford AUSSIE HOOPS includes 1 x 45-minute session for each class, each week.

Starting Date: Monday the 20th of April and end on Friday the 26th of June.

VENUES:

• McKinnon Secondary College (Main Campus): 291a McKinnon Road, McKinnon, 3204.

• GESAC (Glen Eira Sports & Aquatic Centre): 200 East Boundary Road, Bentleigh East 3165.

TIMES:

• Monday: 4:45pm @ GESAC, court 1 (9 sessions)

• Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday: 4pm @ McKinnon Secondary College (10 sessions)

• Friday: 4pm or 4:45pm @ McKinnon Secondary College (10 sessions)

• Saturday: 8:45am or 9:30am @ GESAC, court 2 (8 sessions)

• Sunday: 9am or 9:45am @ GESAC, court 1 (9 sessions)

REGISTRATION:

Registrations are done in a term by term basis. All participants need to register each term and enrolments do not roll over into the next term.

NEW PARTICIPANTS: Please ensure you select the variant ‘NEW REGISTRANT’ when registering, as your registration includes your Aussie Hoops ball, singlet, and draw string bag. These packs will be brought to the first class in Term 2.

RETURNING PARTICIPANTS: Please ensure you select the variant ‘RETURNING REGISTRANT’ as this won’t include the Aussie Hoops ball, singlet, and draw string bag. However, you can purchase these with your registration.

You can purchase the Official Aussie Hoops Size 5 Basketball, our Aussie Hoops Draw String Bag, and our McKinnon Basketball Singlet from our online store, or through the PlayHQ registration process!

All registrations include the Basketball Victoria (BV) and Basketball Australia (BA) fee, totalling $9.50. This fee is charged each term by BV and BA, covering insurance, licensing, and other administrative matters.

BRING:

Participants are required to bring a size 5 basketball and drink bottle to each class. Please ensure your child is wearing closed toe shoes.
