FUTURE COUGARS

Empowering our U10s to excel in the VJBL competition.

Future Cougars is a selection-based program designed for potential McKinnon Representative athletes born in the 2 years prior to regular U12 eligibility. For this upcoming 2026 Season, players born in 2017 & 2018 are eligible.

The program is aimed to accelerate the development of these basketball players by exposing them to the representative training environment and gameplay both in a controlled intra-club environment and a state-wide tournament environment.

PREPARING PLAYERS FOR
REPRESENTATIVE BASKETBALL

Commitments of the program include:

  • 1 x 60-minute training session per week with our dedicated coaches (up to 8 x sessions per term)

  • 2 x competitive basketball tournaments per year (Labour Day weekend and King’s Birthday weekend - pay per play)

  • Opportunity to opt-in to 1 x intra-club game per week (terms 2 and 3 only, at additional cost)

Total Cost - $495

inclusions:

  • McKinnon Cougars playing uniform (singlet and shorts)

  • McKinnon Cougars reversible training singlet

*Does not include tournament play or intra-club games
