McKinnon Basketball’s Term 1 2026 Development Programs are now officially underway, with sessions for all age groups and stages of development.

The MBA Summer 2025/26 season has returned with weekend games resuming this Saturday 31 January and Sunday 1 February.

As we move into the back half of the Summer season, please take a moment to review the important information below

McKinnon Basketball welcomed 379 participants across its Summer 2026 Holiday Camps, with strong engagement spread across a wide range of programs the past two weeks.

Good luck to all of our Junior Cougars competing at the Eltham Dandenong Junior Basketball Tournament this weekend. We’re excited to watch our Cougars represent the club with pride, teamwork and great energy on and off the floor.

McKinnon Basketball’s Development Programs provide a clear pathway for players at every stage, from first-time participation through to skill development for domestic competition. All programs run as 45-minute sessions and are designed to be fun, engaging and development-focused. Session pricing ranges from $12 to $14.50 per class, depending on the program.

As we head into the holiday break, McKinnon Basketball Association would like to thank our entire community for another outstanding year.

Office closure: The MBA office is now closed as of 12:00pm today, Tuesday 17 December 2025, and will re-open at 9:00am on Monday 5 January 2026.

McKinnon Cougars youth guard Trinity Vakacavu has completed a remarkable return from an ACL injury, representing Fiji at the FIBA U17 Women’s Oceania Cup in Samoa. Named co-captain in her first tournament back, Vakacavu played a key role as Fiji finished fifth, gaining valuable international experience and momentum heading into the upcoming season.

McKinnon Basketball is calling on players, parents, coaches, referees, volunteers, club officials and supporters to take part in our 2025 MBA Community Survey, now live and open to the entire McKinnon basketball community.

McKinnon Basketball will host its next Basketball Australia Community Coach Course on Monday 15 December, with the practical session to be held at Bentleigh Secondary College from 7:00–9:00pm.

This weekend (06/12/2025 & 07/12/2025), due to unforeseen circumstances, all games originally fixtured at Carnegie Primary School will be relocated

These rules, by-laws and guidelines ensure fairness, consistency and smooth game-day operations across all domestic competitions.
