McKinnon Basketball Term 4 programs start next week!
Registrations are open for Cougar Cubs, Brighton Ford Aussie Hoops and MOG Orthodontics Domestic Academy. Whether your child is trying basketball for the first time or looking to improve their game, there is a program for them this term.
Cougar Cubs | Ages 3 and 4
Cougar Cubs is a fun first introduction to basketball. Through games and movement activities, children practise coordination, build confidence and learn to play alongside others. No basketball experience is needed.
The 45-minute classes run at GESAC on Mondays from 12 October and Saturdays from 17 October. All equipment is provided, and every participant receives a Cougar Cubs T-shirt.
Sessions cost $14 each. The term price is based on the number of classes on your chosen day: eight on Mondays or nine on Saturdays.

Brighton Ford Aussie Hoops | Ages 5 to 8
Aussie Hoops gives children the chance to learn basketball fundamentals in a fun and welcoming setting. Participants practise skills such as dribbling, passing and shooting while making friends and building confidence on court. Girls Only sessions are also available.
Families can choose from 10 weekly class times across seven days at GESAC and McKinnon Secondary College. Tuesday classes begin 6 October, with other classes starting between 7 and 18 October. Each class runs for 45 minutes.
Sessions cost $12.50 each. The term price is based on the number of classes on your chosen day, which ranges from seven to nine this term. New participants receive a player pack with a basketball, singlet and drawstring bag.

MOG Orthodontics Domestic Academy | Ages 8 to 14
Domestic Academy helps young players take the next step in their basketball development. Led by experienced McKinnon Cougars coaches, classes focus on improving individual skills, decision making and basketball IQ.
The Beginners class welcomes players who have finished Aussie Hoops or are new to basketball. The Advanced class is for players with previous academy experience or who currently play in a domestic competition. A Girls Only class is also available.
The 45-minute classes run at McKinnon Secondary College. Girls Only begins Tuesday 6 October, Beginners begins Wednesday 7 October, and Advanced begins Thursday 8 October.
Sessions cost $15 each. The term price is based on the scheduled classes: eight for Girls Only or seven for Beginners and Advanced. Families should check the session dates when registering, as venue availability means classes do not run every consecutive week this term.
