Jennie Rintala Signs with McKinnon Cougars Championship Women
McKinnon Basketball Association is pleased to announce the signing of American-born forward Jennie Rintala for the Big V Championship Women 2026 season.
A 13-year professional athlete, Rintala joins the Cougars following the past season with Bulleen, where she won a championship in 2025 under incoming McKinnon head coach Mason Rogers.
A proven frontcourt presence, Rintala averaged 15.9 points, 9.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game during the 2025 campaign, underlining her ability to control the glass and provide consistent offensive production.
Across her career, Rintala has played more than 200 games across NBL1 competitions in Western Australia, South Australia and Victoria, along with professional stints overseas in Europe.
Rintala also brings valuable WNBL experience, having been part of three programs across her career; the Perth Lynx, Adelaide Lightning and Bendigo Spirit.
Her signing adds size, experience and championship pedigree to the Cougars roster as preparations continue for the Big V Championship Women 2026 season.
“Looking forward to this season and excited to see the Cougar community out at games,” Rintala said. “Please come up and say hi!”
The Big V Championship Women 2026 season will tip off on Sunday 29 March, with the McKinnon Cougars opening their campaign at home against the Sherbrooke Suns.
