Maighan Hedge Signs with McKinnon Cougars Championship Women

McKinnon Basketball Association are pleased to announce the signing of Maighan Hedge for the Big V Championship Women 2026 season.

Hedge joins the Cougars following the 2025 season with the Bulleen Boomers, where she was part of the Big V Championship Women winning team under Head Coach Mason Rogers, bringing valuable experience and strong guard play to the program.

Prior to her time at Bulleen, Hedge competed in the US college system and has also featured in the NBL1 competition with the Casey Cavaliers, adding further high level experience to her resume.

During the 2025 campaign, Hedge averaged 10.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game, highlighting her ability to create opportunities for teammates while contributing offensively.

Her signing adds playmaking, leadership and backcourt depth to the Cougars lineup as preparations continue for the 2026 Championship Women season.

The Big V Championship Women 2026 season will tip off on Sunday 29 March, with the McKinnon Cougars opening their campaign at home against the Sherbrooke Suns.
