McKinnon Basketball Association is seeking an energetic, organised and community-minded Competition & Integrity Coordinator to join our team in a unique full-time role that blends competition operations, governance, integrity and weekend game day delivery.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in one of Melbourne’s leading basketball associations, supporting the smooth running of domestic basketball while also helping ensure strong standards around complaints handling, conduct, governance and integrity. The role also carries an important weekend presence across our venues, including setup, operational support, troubleshooting and game day issue management.

About the role

Reporting to the Competition & Facility Manager, this role is responsible for:

  • complaints, governance and integrity coordination across domestic basketball and VJBL

  • case administration, record keeping and procedural follow-up

  • domestic competition administration support, including PlayHQ-related tasks

  • Friday venue setup, Sunday pack down and weekend venue oversight

  • supporting Venue Managers and troubleshooting live operational issues

  • helping maintain a safe, respectful and well-run competition environment across all venues.

Skills and experience

We’re looking for someone with:

  • experience in administration, governance support, complaints handling, case coordination or community sport operations

  • strong written communication skills

  • strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and administrative systems

  • the ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures and rules consistently

  • excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to handle confidential matters appropriately.

Experience in basketball administration, PlayHQ, venue operations, child safety, member protection or integrity processes in sport will be highly regarded. 

Work schedule

This role is structured to work Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and includes weekday administration & governance, Friday venue setup, weekend game day coverage and Sunday pack down.
