Registrations Open for December Community Coach Course

McKinnon Basketball will host its next Basketball Australia Community Coach Course on Monday 15 December, with the practical session to be held at Bentleigh Secondary College from 7:00–9:00pm.

With limited spots remaining, the course is ideal for coaches currently working within McKinnon Basketball’s Junior Domestic Competition, as well as those looking to begin their coaching journey in a supported, community-focused environment.

The Community Coach Course provides coaches with practical tools and foundational knowledge to support:

  • Delivering engaging and structured training sessions

  • Teaching fundamental skill development

  • Improving game-day management and communication

  • Creating a positive and effective learning environment for young athletes

All participants who complete the course will receive Basketball Australia’s Community Coach Accreditation, which includes an online education component followed by the two-hour face-to-face practical session.

The cost of the course is $20.

How to Register

Coaches can register via the McKinnon Basketball Coach Education Calendar

Upon registration and payment, participants will:

  1. Receive access to the Basketball Australia online training portal via eTrainU

  2. Enrol into the scheduled practical session under “Training Event” within the portal
