Which McKinnon Basketball Holiday Camp Is Right for your child?
McKinnon Basketball's Winter 2026 School Holiday Camps are now open for registration, with a range of programs available for players aged 6 to 16 across all experience levels.
Whether your child is picking up a basketball for the first time, looking to improve their skills, preparing for representative basketball or seeking a more advanced development environment, McKinnon's Winter Holiday Program offers a camp designed to suit their needs.
Delivered by a combination of Basketball Victoria accredited Development Program coaches, VJBL representative coaches, Big V athletes and McKinnon Basketball staff, the Winter Holiday Camps provide young athletes with the opportunity to stay active, continue developing their game and enjoy basketball throughout the school holidays.
Places are limited and registrations are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Families are encouraged to register early to secure their preferred camp dates and avoid missing out on one of McKinnon Basketball's most popular holiday programs.

ROAR Holiday Camp (Ages 6-13)
The ROAR Holiday Camp is perfect for players who enjoy learning new skills, making friends and having fun on the basketball court.
Throughout the day, participants will take part in skill stations, basketball games, competitions and scrimmages in a supportive and energetic environment. The camp is particularly well suited to beginner and domestic players looking to build confidence while continuing to develop their love for the game.

South East Melbourne Phoenix x McKinnon Super Camp
Returning bigger than ever, the South East Melbourne Phoenix x McKinnon Super Camp provides a unique basketball experience for young athletes.
Running across multiple courts, the camp combines skill development, games, competitions and Phoenix-themed activities throughout the day. Every participant will also receive exclusive South East Melbourne Phoenix camp merchandise, making this one of the most anticipated camps on the Winter Holiday calendar.
Suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities, the Super Camp offers a fun and memorable day for any young basketball fan.

Girls Only Camp (Ages 6-13)
Led by McKinnon's Big V Women's players and experienced coaches, the Girls Only Camp provides a welcoming environment where young female athletes can build confidence, develop new skills and enjoy the game alongside other girls who share their passion for basketball.
The camp focuses on individual skill development, teamwork, game play and creating a positive basketball experience for participants of all abilities. Whether participants are new to basketball or already playing regularly, the Girls Only Camp provides an encouraging environment to learn and grow.
Every participant will receive a camp T-shirt.

All Stars Domestic Camp (Ages 10-16)
The All Stars Domestic Camp is designed for players who already have a solid basketball foundation and are looking to further elevate their game.
Sessions focus on basketball IQ, shooting, ball handling, decision making, footwork and 1-on-1 play, helping athletes become more complete players on both ends of the court.
Delivered by McKinnon's US import players alongside experienced coaches and representative pathway staff, the camp provides a challenging development environment for players seeking the next step in their basketball journey.
Every participant will receive a camp T-shirt.

Rep Ready Holiday Clinic (Born 2014-2017)
For athletes interested in representative basketball, the Rep Ready Holiday Clinics are designed to assist player development while introducing participants to a representative training environment.
Led by McKinnon Basketball's Performance and Pathways Manager, James McKinnon, the clinics will expose athletes to the standards, expectations and training habits commonly found within representative basketball programs.
Open to players born between 2014 and 2017, the clinics are ideal for athletes considering representative basketball or wanting to better understand the pathway opportunities available through McKinnon Basketball.
With the 2026/27 VJBL season fast approaching, the clinics are particularly suited to players eligible for:
Under 12s: Born 2015–2018
Under 14s: Born 2013–2014
Participants will be challenged through skill development, decision-making activities and representative-style training designed to help prepare them for future opportunities.

McKinnon Masterclass with Darren Anderson (Ages 6-13)
McKinnon Basketball Director of Coaching Darren Anderson will lead a specialised clinic focused on the core fundamentals of junior basketball.
Participants will work on shooting, ball handling, footwork, offensive decision making and individual skill development while learning from one of the most respected coaching figures within the association.
The session also presents a valuable opportunity for domestic coaches to observe coaching methods, teaching points and drills that can be applied within their own teams and training sessions.
