Play Basketball without the Impact!
Walking basketball is a low-impact, social and fun way to improve physical activity levels across all ages, genders and abilities, including those recovering from injury, and helps to maintain and improve health and decrease risk factors associated with sedentary behaviour.
Walking Basketball is played with modified equipment and rules, including a size 5 or 6 basketball (group dependant). The 60 minute, on-court session includes 5-on-5 gameplay, along with skill development activities to get started!
Perhaps the best part of the Walking Basketball program, all sessions are followed by free morning tea in the GESAC cafeteria at the Eten Cafe. This is a 10 week program.
