Which McKinnon Basketball September Holiday Camp Is Right for Your Child?
McKinnon Basketball’s September 2026 School Holiday Camps are now open for registration, with programs available for players aged 5 to 16 across a range of experience levels.
Whether your child is new to basketball, wants to enjoy an active day with friends, is ready for a more advanced challenge or is preparing for the upcoming VJBL tryouts, there is a camp designed to support their development.
The program will be delivered by Basketball Victoria accredited Development Program coaches, McKinnon Cougars VJBL coaches, Big V athletes, US import players and McKinnon Basketball staff.
All September camps will be held at Bentleigh Secondary College, with places allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Families are encouraged to register early to secure their preferred sessions.
New to Basketball or Looking for a Fun Holiday Activity?
ROAR Holiday Camp
The ROAR Holiday Camp is a fun and energetic mixed program for children aged 5 to 13. Players will learn new skills, take part in familiar basketball games and enjoy plenty of friendly competition and scrimmages. It is ideal for children who want to stay active and enjoy basketball in a welcoming environment. Every participant will receive a camp T-shirt.
For Girls Who Love Basketball
Girls Only Camp
Led by McKinnon’s Big V Women’s players and experienced coaches, the Girls Only Camp provides a positive and welcoming environment for girls aged 5 to 13. The program combines skill development, games and confidence-building activities, helping participants enjoy basketball while learning from some of McKinnon’s leading female athletes and coaches. Every participant will receive a camp T-shirt.
Looking for a More Advanced Challenge?
All Stars Domestic Camp
The All Stars Domestic Camp is a high-performance development experience for players aged 10 to 16 who want to take the next step in their game. Delivered by McKinnon’s US import players, with support from VJBL coaches and other high-level athletes, the camp will focus on basketball IQ, decision-making, shooting, ball handling and one-on-one play. This camp is best suited to motivated domestic players seeking a challenging development environment. Every participant will receive a camp T-shirt.
WANNA RISE WITH THE PHOENIX
South East Melbourne Phoenix x McKinnon Cougars Super Camp
McKinnon Basketball’s partnership camp with the South East Melbourne Phoenix returns for another exciting day of basketball. Operating across up to four courts, the Super Camp will feature skill sessions, competitions and Phoenix-themed activities. It is a great opportunity for young players to experience an NBL-inspired camp while continuing to develop their game. Every participant will receive limited-edition South East Melbourne Phoenix camp merchandise exclusive to this event.

Rep Ready Holiday Camps
The Rep Ready Holiday Camps are three-hour extended sessions for players eligible for the Under 12 and Under 14 age groups in the 2026/27 VJBL season. Led by McKinnon Cougars Performance and Pathways Manager James McKinnon, the camps are designed to introduce athletes to a representative training environment while developing the skills and habits required at VJBL level. These sessions are open to eligible players interested in developing their game and experiencing representative-style training.

Rep Prep Sessions
Rep Prep is a series of focused one-hour sessions for players eligible for the Under 12 and Under 14 age groups in the 2026/27 VJBL season. Open to domestic and current representative athletes, the sessions will help players prepare for tryouts while becoming familiar with the expectations and intensity of a representative training environment. The sessions will be led by McKinnon Cougars Performance and Pathways Manager James McKinnon and McKinnon’s VJBL head coaches.
