McKinnon Basketball Association has opened registrations for the Winter 2026 Community Bank Highett Open Senior Domestic season. All team registrations must be made via PlayHQ. Further information can be found on the MBA Competitions page.

Game Days/Times: Sunday Afternoons / Evenings

Season Dates: Sunday 3rd May 2026 – Sunday 6th September 2026

Registrations close: Saturday 11th April 2026

MBA WINTER 2026 DOMESTIC HANDBOOK

WINTER 2026 SEASON INFORMATION

Team Entry Fee: $1,102.40 (13 regular rounds, excluding Finals)

Team Entry Fees are paid prior to the start of the season through PlayHQ at the time of registration 

Fees includes:

  • Competition Court Hire

  • Competition Administration

  • Competition Operations

  • Game Day Equipment

  • Provision of Game Day Referees, Supervisors & Staff

Participant & Licence Registration & Fees

‍Each team has a unique PlayHQ registration link for players. Team delegates receive this link via their confirmation email and can also access it through their PlayHQ participant portal. How to find your participant to team link in the PlayHQ Portal (Team Delegates only)

Individual participants pay the below fees via PlayHQ during participant registration:

  • Basketball Victoria Annual Participant Licence

    • $34 (Under 18) OR

    • $48 (18+)

  • Basketball Australia Fee: $5.50

  • Door Entry Fee: $39 (Regular season, excludes Finals)

IMPORTANT – Team Approval: Team Names and Uniforms must be approved by MBA prior to registration.

Player Eligibility & Requirements

  • Players must be 16 years or older to register

  • Players under 18 must complete a Domestic Indemnification Form

  • 2007/08 Girls to register into the Open competition

Coach & Team Manager Requirements

  • Coaches and Team Managers must register via PlayHQ

  • A valid WWCC must be entered if the team includes Under 18 players 

Divisions & Grading

  • Teams must nominate a preferred division during registration.

  • Final division allocations will be determined by MBA following grading and competition review.
