MBA By-Laws Update (as of 04/02/2026)

Following a comprehensive review of By-Law 8, the MBA Board has endorsed amendments designed to: 

• Provide clarity around clearance rules for both clubs and independent teams. 

• Protect junior club development pathways (U16 and below). 

• Close loopholes that allowed multiple players to form new independent teams without transfer restrictions. 

• Recognise the different needs of older junior age groups for social and retention purposes. 

These changes ensure a fair and transparent clearance process for all participants while maintaining the integrity of the MBA competition structure.
